Kermiko Potteries
Kermiko Potteries (1984) Ltd operated at 42 Henderson Vallery Road, Henderson.
In 1993 they called themselves Kermiko Stoneware and had an advert in the Yellow Pages saying they made a full range of kitchenware terracotta and promotional products - custom work manufactured to your requirements.
It looks like they were in business from around 1984 until at least 1997
Good quality slip cast ware. There is no foot ring - just a flat base.

I've seen heaps of those pots and didn't know the maker because the sticker was missing. The pattern is very distinctive.
I found this cute little jug today in the South Island of course. Shaw's Berry Farm is at Riverhead, only a few km from our home!

Re: Kermiko Potteries
From the similarities between a jug I saw today at the Sallies, bearing a Kermiko sticker, and the adjacent Royal Oak mugs, jugs and bowls, I have formed the opinion that Kermiko is a reincarnation of Royal Oak Potteries, and yet another chapter in the Owen Salisbury-Royal Oak saga I have written about under the Royal Oak heading.
I also see the 'Original Earthenware Colonial Range' advertised as Stewart Pottery:

Re: Kermiko Potteries
Stewart pottery owner was Stewart Salisbury, son of Owen Salisbury. Please do a search for Stewart potteries and you should find heaps of info that will interest you.
Kermiko identification
Having another go at posting my three little Kermiko things... three different types of identification!
This is a Kermiko milo jar, it looks a bit like terracotta but that's the glaze. It has Kermiko on the printed label - along with Geo Saxby and Son - wonder who they were?

This is the same jar with a floral decoration and a sticker - rather randomly placed.

And this little mug has Kermiko marked on the base...

Not sure what all this means. I have been so focused on Crown Lynn that I didn't even know Kermiko existed until recently

Re: Kermiko Potteries
oOOOOoooo haven't seen that Kermiko stamped on the base before
:D
I believe there were at least two owners of this company and things changed a bit due to that. I haven't seen a footring on any of their work before. Hopefully we will get the full story one day. I really like their pottery !!

Potteries Potteries origin
Kermiko potteries was started by Barry and Joy Sluiters in 1978. In the early days production was hand thrown stoneware which then progressed to slip cast stoneware.

Kermiko Potteries
My wife Joy and I started Kermiko around 1980 producing slip casts stoneware. We sold it many years later to Burke Steel. We were located in Henderson close to Royal Oak potteries.
