Various pots from my mum's collection + John Ferguson + Southcombe
I finally got around to photographing some of my mum's collection to share and also in the hopes that we can identify a couple of unknowns.
This bowl was commissioned (for lack of a better word) for my mum for her 21st birthday by her best friend, who watched the potter throw it and talked to the potter about the sort of patterns that my mum liked. Unfortunately the name of the potter has slipped from memory, mum was at Ardmore at the time though.

Re: Various pots from my mum's collection + John Ferguson + Southcombe
Re the 21st present: There is a similar mark in the Potters Marks book by Rhonda Edwards, as it has the back to front E and the R coming off it .... it doesn't have the bit that looks like a small b though. Check with your Mum though.
No ideas for the next two pieces sorry ...
Bravo Uncle![cheers](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_cheers.png)
I adore Marden's work ... whoever they are and am pleased to see their mark in the Gallery. Thank you!!
The name Southcombe is unfamiliar to me, but I like their style![Very Happy](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_biggrin.png)
Awww thanks for sharing your piece

Re: Various pots from my mum's collection + John Ferguson + Southcombe
Thanks Ev, it's great to see my uncle's mark up in the gallery - there are probably a few pieces of his floating about in the Manawatu area, he's a very talented artist/craftsman in a variety of fields, though he no longer pots.
I love seeing the potter's marks gallery expanding, especially when I've helped! :-)

David Marden info .....
More info regarding the 'Marden' vase, the potter is David Marden from Pahiatua/Eketahuna area! Someone will be able to update the name in the potter's marks gallery :-)
Link to the TM thread which has a photo of another of his pots.

Great stuff Cat, as it's excellent to find something about this potter.

Just bumping this, as there are a couple of marks that could go in the unknown marks gallery.
