Donnegal Blue d449 and Donnegal Green d462
JanPots mentioned that this pattern is similar to Donnegal Gold d387,
which has this pattern with a plain white rim.
I checked the Patterns Database and found:
Donnegal Blue d449
Donnegal Brown d458
Donnegal Gold d482
Donnegal Gold d387
Donnegal Green d462
Could this be Donnegal Green ???
which has this pattern with a plain white rim.

This looks the same from Adrianna's collection ....
With just the usual Genuine Ironstone backstamp ...
On second thoughts the tonings may be different ....?
The Crown Lynn Patterns Book has a similar pattern, but with a rim band, so it probably won't be the same pattern name and number -
Donvale Brown d262 -

Hi Ev
I have a 3038 shape coffee cup in Brown and the plate is the same green as Topaz pattern - does that help?

Re: Donnegal Blue d449 and Donnegal Green d462
Is the 3038 cup clear glazed on the inside? Low Sol is a clear glaze.
T.P. Brown - this could be the Tea Pot Brown that I've seen on another pattern ....? Will have to find it again to get some idea of which brown it is!
Looking at my 3038 cups with the squashed handle I've noticed that some are a bit taller, which makes me wonder about them ..... wondering always wondering!!

For numb-nuts here!!! Clear glaze? do you mean white .... If thats what you mean then Yes.. its a white cup with the transfer pattern on it.
It also boasts a massive big crack down one side, but that shouldn't affect our thoughts on what the name of the pattern is
Umm.. I will have a look at those cups and see if I have any that are taller than others

Donnegal Blue d449 looks like this and has Tango Blue saucer and oatmeal, what do you reckon Janice? I think it's a match myself, but just want to check if you agree.
Re: Donnegal Blue d449 and Donnegal Green d462
Did you see this version in your latest findings? without white rim or brown band.
In the gallery There is donnegal gold 387 with a white rim. ( Musuem notes have Donnegal Gold D 482 - a different pattern number) Which is strange?

Donvale with the brown universal rim
I always thought these "all over pattern " was a different name again...

Re: Donnegal Blue d449 and Donnegal Green d462
It only shows a little of the pattern, enough to recognise that it is this one and it's on the coupe range. I have to spend some time on these as there are others too and we have a few in the no names gallery to sort out. I saw patterns that were referred to as 'un-numbered' somewhere in the records ..... must check it out.

Re: Donnegal Blue d449 and Donnegal Green d462
I really don't know how you can help and I don't think it will be loaded onto the site, but will be for personal research purposes just like the Auckland Museum records. I've only scratched the tip of the Portage Museum iceberg and it will take months of research to see what they have.
Re: Donnegal Blue d449 and Donnegal Green d462
Harking back to this topic there are three of these patterns in the No Names Gallery and they are all the coupe shape with the all over patterns in Brown, Blue and Green.
Now the records show that these are -
Donnegal Blue d449 with 3038 cup and Tango Blue 4029 saucer and 770 bowl
Donnegal Brown d458 with Brown 3019 cup and 805 saucer
Donnegal Green d462 with Antique Green 3019 cup and 805 saucer
I will add these to the main Gallery.
