Before I ask my question, this small wee posy vase also has the tiki backstamp and a number .141. Is this vase common please? I've probably just missed seeing it, but if you don't have it, you are most welcome to use the photo Ev.

Unless my eyes have let me down, I've been unable to find any information on this 'log shaped' vase, which unfortunately has a chip on the rim which can be seen on the front left. It's a bit bigger on the inside than the small chip view that can be seen I thought initially that it was cream, but when I gave it a wash and looked at it in the daylight, it was actually the palest of pink.....well a pink allover tinge anyways.

I have the date, thanks to the backstamps on the website, but with the chip, would it have any value at all - no matter how small. Thankyou in advance Ev.

Here it is. Any info really appreciated.
Another query please :) Dsc04010 Thankyou Smile

Hi Haze Smile
The 141 turns up on Trademe on a regular basis, but I can't recall seeing a pinky one before .... ever! This could be your main focus, but with the chip I wouldn't expect that it would get a very high price..... but then you never know what is going to happen on TM !! I can only suggest a low reserve and let it go from there.
We do have a 141 in the Shapes Gallery, but it's very hard to see, so I may try to replace it with your pinky. Thanks Ev.

I've been thinking about this pinky vase and I can't recall seeing another pinky vase in any shape before .... soft greens and pale blues yes, but pink I don't think so!
I wonder if anyone else has?
I buy cracked and chipped old Crown Lynn pieces, that we don't have in the Shapes Gallery, as mostly there isn't a lot of competition for them Smile

Thanks again Ev. Sorry for the delay in replying but (I'm sure I ticked the box!!! ), I didn't get an email saying there was a post/posts in response to my query. Gremlins or just a 'clanger' on my part - which isn't unknown Smile Scrub that ......the Notify me box is definitely ticked, so there is hope for me yet LOL.

I'll put up a listing sometime soon Ev. Thanks again.

I did a bit of googling just out of interest and only found two pieces with a pale pink glaze ... a speciman vase and a handpotted vase. [Also found a pale yellow]
So there may be more interest because of the glaze colour .... ?
A white 141 was listed over the weekend......

Thanks Ev. I shall seek out the white one shortly. Interesting what you say about the specimen one and the handpotted one. Can't see any 'rings' inside this one, so guess that's out. Just feels bumpy from the pattern? I just might add another photo for you to see as I have just taken a few shots of it sat on top of a white and cream vase, so the difference can be seen and to double check that someone else can see it's colour and it's not my eyes Smile

Still not getting notification of your answers/posting Ev. Is it a gremlin with you or is it in my system???

The way the Forum works is that if you make a post and someone replies - a notification email is sent to you regardless if you have chosen to watch the topic or not. ...... it works for me Very Happy Good luck though!

Yes Ev. - it's a very delicate colour. And thankyou for the link. I did find it earlier so I shall keep tabs on it for a while.

Nope. No notification emails being received. I'll blame my new computer and windows live mail. When my other one crashed, I thought this one would solve a lot of problems, but in fact it has caused quite a few! Gotta luv technology Smile
