Hi all

First time poster as I have only recently discovered this fascinating site. I have recently come across over 100 pieces of roydon harvest. Any information about this make would be welcome, but specifically I would like to know why the marking on some is in gold and some in black?

Thanks

Welcome to the Forum copasetic64 Smile
That's a large quantity to come across woooo!
Roydon Harvest was produced in the 1960's and was exclusive to McKenzies.
Val Monk says that the Roydon brand name came from the two McKenzie brothers ... Roy and Don.
Gold backstamps were common in the 1950's and 1960's then after that were hardly used. Perhaps your pieces cover an extended time frame, as this was a very popular pattern?

Just had a look at some Crown Lynn info that I have and found that this pattern was exported to the Arabian Gulf and to South Africa .... very interesting!

Absolutely!
Would just like to add that Crown Lynn exported popular patterns to many countries around the world.
