Haven't found the number for this yet, but the glaze tells me that it belongs in this topic.

Ev, I looked at three 1143s today in different glazes, one of which reminded me very much of this. The 1143 as you no doubt know is a soup bowl with downward curved ears, and a ringed/banded/grooved body, noted as being made at Titian.

The one that caught my attention had an all over see through orange glaze breaking to the deepest black in the grooves, and even quite a patch of it in one place.

I could not see it as being double-dipped, but more in keeping with the strange effects of the Luke Adams glazes, Lucow and Basalt. It certainly didn't look like a Titian glaze, which is a problem when the notes say it's Titian.

Now, you told me that this unnumbered ramekin was Basalt, but even though I have seen some very strange glaze effects from the various potteries, including a huge range of variations within a single glaze type in the last 6 months I can't see this ramekin being the same glaze as all the other Basalt items I have seen recently.

Is there a possibility that this one is actually "the other" Luke Adams glaze:
Homestead Deco No - 123?

I went out without the iPad this afternoon, but can nip back to Jill's shop tomorrow if you are interested. I personally think it is well worth documenting.

Same ramekin different background ....

Another ramekin ... Basalt10

The glaze is really thin and this little pool of glaze on the inside is black, which tells me that it is the Basalt glaze ...

OK! I see Basalt.

I'll photo this orange one anyway and see what you think it might be.

I have continued this discussion in the 1143 topic:
