Is it a Bird? Is it a Plane? What is it?
This was at the Crown Lynn Exhibition in Richard Quinn's collection.
It is only bisqued so doesn't display well to show what it is.
What do you think it is?

Hahaaa Marl you are too clever
I couldn't think past an owl with those big eyes....
but it's called a Strange Kiwi and indeed it looks like an alien kiwi .....
now what is it's purpose?

No ideas then?
I would never have guessed either!
They are in fact Salt and Pepper shakers !
1254 - Strange Kiwi Salt - first made at the Titian factory in 1977 [70mm high]
1255 - Strange Kiwi Pepper " " " "
1256 - Strange Kiwi Mustard " [This is shorter at 46mm and has a hollow for the mustard]
There is also a Mustard Spoon for Strange Kiwi which is 95mm long.
Such hard case looking characters.
