Everything that Studio Ceramics make has their stamp on it that I have seen.
I just bought a Kina bowl for a present and it was stamped.

I don't know what to make of that auction .... scratch

Mmmmmmm!! The plaque could well be what used to be known as " A Homer" ie a piece that a staff member fancied and spirited out of the factory,

I note that the example in the auction has no gold decoration to highlight the design as shown in , Val Ringer Monk's book, she also states that a fully back stamped one was presented to the Hon. Jack Marshall in 1969 (Page 185/6)

I agree that the Studio Ceramics pieces I have and have seen are clearly backstamped.

If the plate was a second it would not have had gold finsh over the top thats another firing ,or was it pinched before it got to the last firing

I was watching this auction, hoping to glean some info ....
I do know of two people who have boxes of the bisqued smaller plaques, which they got when Crown Lynn closed down .....
Personally, I wouldn't buy a plaque that didn't have the Crown Lynn wording on the back and that didn't have the gold lustre finish.
