This cup and saucer seems to go with Nirvana. It's a good colour match. I have some desert dishes the same colour, but plain, no Nirvana pattern. Can anyone tell me if there were Nirvana desert plates and saucers? Or if there were plain plates in the Nirvana colour? Do we have a style name for this cup?

They only made the plates and side plates with the Nirvana pattern on them.
Cups, saucers and dessert bowls were the light brown speckled glaze, very similar to the ones you have posted, without the brown cup.

Cup and saucer Nirvana colour Empty Correct cup for Nirvana set

Post  Glenys Thu 6 Dec - 17:51

Is this the correct cup or was the cup creamy yellow/brown all over?
PS In the photo the inside of the cup looks a different colour from the saucer. It isn't.

I can't trust my memory atm, but I think that the cups were plain mustard speckly ones.

Yes, very interesting.
I confess I've traced the pattern to make a tivaevae type applique for a cushion cover!
I should really make a table runner for my growing Nirvana dinner set!
