I found one too it says Kawhia on base so another clue as to who this mark is.
I think mine looks quite old...1960's?

This pottery with the marks PSA Kawhia was made by my grandmother in the 60s and 70s. If you ever considering selling your pieces I would be interested thanks.

Thanks for coming by Cynthia
We would really like to know your Grandmother's name so that we can add her name to her PSA stamp in the New Zealand Potters Marks Gallery if that's ok please.
Also would you have any idea what the numbers represent on the base of each pot?
Hopefully the owners of the pots on the site will contact you regarding your interest.
Many thanks Ev.

Thanks for your quick response Ev. My grandmother is Phyllis Atkins Formerly of Hautaru but now retired and living in Te Awamutu. The PSA is her initials and the numbers relate to the year, month and batch. For example, 5823 was most likely fired in February 1958. My grandmother is going to check on 5823 and 733 in her book and get back to me therefore if I can provide more information I will advise.

Fantastic information thank you Cynthia.
I will update our records and look forward to hopefully getting more info re the numbers.
That is what this site is all about, getting correct information about our pottery history.

My word this is a lovely vase. The glaze is delicious the way it has melted down the vase. Adding this for cynthia to see though someone is already bidding on it

Thanks Ev. The bidder is my mum so that's good. I am been told that I spelt Grandma's name wrong - should be two ll's - Phyllis. She is in the process of looking for the catologues of all her pieces to be able to confirm exactly what the numbers mean.

I'm pleased about the spelling as every time I wrote her name I would get corrected to use two l's. I'm happy that it's your Mum bidding as that is a beauty!

Having talked to Phyllis this afternoon, I think the pot numbered in the 5000s would date to roughly the early-mid 1970s, and the pot with only three digits must be from about the early-mid 1960s.
