I'm fairly certain that I have the Pattern Number for the Wombles and I will check it out tomorrow. My children loved the Wombles

The Wombles has the pattern number d515 and I've popped it into the Gallery.
Val Monk says that it was made between the late 1970's to the late 1980's.
I will try to find a more precise time frame one day.

Heehee, I think you'll find that it's *Wombling free*
Madame Cholet, Tomsk, Bungo, Wellington are the rest of the main Wombles characters - I always have trouble remembering which ones are which though - except the obvious ones like Madam Cholet and Great Uncle Bulgaria.

As per usual ..... looking for something else and up pops this from a Crown Lynn Exhibition Catalogue in 1978 -

This Wombles mug is different to the one in the Show us Your Mugs thread, which has all of the Wombles together. The shape of the cup is different too. I really don't know the name of this elderly gentleman but I'm sure someone will tell us
