Where did Crown Lynn come up with the name Wharetana? Empty Where did Crown Lynn come up with the name Wharetana?

I heard that Crown Lynn made up the name Wharetana for the Maori Art Ware.
However there is a Wharetana Bay on Waiheke just across the water from the Car Ferry wharf.
