Ceramco House
I am interested in the architecture and history of Ceramco House. Anyone out there with info or that I could speak to who used to work there in the 60s-70s?

Re: Ceramco House
There is most likely some info regarding ceramco house in the crown Lynn ceramics magazines. When I get a chance I will check it out. Also the local papers would be worth searching.
Re: Ceramco House
I think the building in Avondale was originally known as Ceramic House designed by Neville Price. There's a photo of it on his conpany's website http://www.nevilleprice.com/portfolio/ceramic-house/
It might be worth lookng at OldFriends as there are two Crown Lynn former staff members groups there.

curious that the website states 1967 and Val Monks's book states 1969.

Re: Ceramco House
Ev's post here: http://newzealandpottery.forumotion.net/t905-crown-lynn-magazines-new-zealand-ceramics-ceramics#2300 notes that the May 1969 issue of Crown Lynn's New Zeland Ceramics mag includes "Photo of an unusual plaque designed by David Jenkin and Mark Cleverly for the opening of Ceramic House - in the shape of a circle with radiating spokes like the design of the building. "
So perhaps the building was designed in 1967 but not formally opened until May 1969?
