Hereford Fine China Fantail !

How lucky to find this piece in an opshop!!
It wasn't cheap by any means, but I fell in love with it instantly.
I have wanted a piece of Hereford ever since I saw the photos that Rufus put on the site.
I neglected to take a photo of the sticker on the base ...... but will another day.

Last week I met a man who left Ceramco in 1984 and was given two Hereford birds - one owl and one tui. He doesn't remember if there was a direct connection between Ceramco and Hereford Fine China. He said I could share these on the forum.

Apparently Ceramco had a 50% share holding from 1977 til sometime in the 1980's.

I just searched Te Toi Uku Museum's holdings and there is a number of files with Hereford documents, including backstamps and artworks and a brochure. If anyone wants to research Hereford further get in contact with the museum - [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
