Re: from the Monograms room..
I've seen this wording in the Decoration Advices and will find it when I get a quiet moment. There has been the odd saucer listed on TM too.

Re: from the Monograms room..
Well that was easy to find!
On the first page of the Decoration Advices which is from around 1964 I believe -
Co-Ros Deco.No.836
Then in circa 1968 -
Co-Ros Manufacturing. Co-Ros (Hello this is from Co-Ros) Deco.No.836

In the Museum notes there is a 'Manly league Club" I wonder if that what the MLC stands for?

Re: from the Monograms room..
Every logo has it's own Deco number, just as the patterns do and Bendigo JC above is d660.
Now I want to know ...... do I put these in the patterns gallery?
Or just leave them in the Monogrammed Gallery?

Re: from the Monograms room..
Ev, there has been talk of sometime making a list of patterns by number, so for that reason it would be useful to have them all in one database.
But then...
... glazes are also patterns with numbers so should they be in the patterns gallery too?

Re: from the Monograms room..
Good thinking Jeremy as my Database includes the glazes and the logos which are in the records.
I have both numerical and alphabetical database lists of the patterns to help with research.

Re: from the Monograms room..
Do the glazes all have names?

Re: from the Monograms room..
Yes and the colour glaze colours [stains] too. A good way to keep track of everything with numbers and names I reckon. They were extremely professional about these things.
flip-flop
As you have databases already, and the patterns gallery is very cumbersome,
maybe it is better to keep the monograms separate.
Anyone can tell a pattern from a monogram I guess, unless some of the hotel, hospital, patterns also count as monograms.
Some ideas for the long term plan:
1. A gallery of glazes?
2. A list by NUMBER of all patterns, glazes, insignia? (As a "Sticky".)
(No pics required as the gallery is alphabetised and it is then easy to refer to it from a list if needs be.)
(There will also be some degree of chronology there too I believe.)

Re: from the Monograms room..
Hmmm I will add the monograms to the patterns gallery for now, not that I have found many yet.
The colour glazes that we know the numbers for are already in the Patterns Gallery under 'Colour Glaze'.
It has been a labour of love to make and keep adding to the Patterns Database, which has over 2,100 patterns recorded. I shudder at the thought of having to do it all again ...... to put it onto the site. I haven't found any rhyme or reasoning in the patterns numbers, other than the change to 5 digits which came along in the 1980's and it's easy to recognise this from those numbers.
Perhaps one day I will read more into the pattern numbering system, but it eludes me at the moment. Pattern numbers were used many times over and pattern names were as well. Still it's a learning process and I haven't tired of it yet![Smile](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_smile.gif)
