Stipple
I found the name of this pattern in a 1969 Farmers advert in the Te Aroha News at the Museum Library.
It reads:
Stipple a 36 piece dinner set in plain white with gold edges a real bargain for everyday use $9.95. $1.50 Deposit 15c Weekly [oh my giddy aunt!]
As I have a bowl in the coupe shallow shape that is pure white with gold edges I'm going to give it this Stipple pattern name, although one would think that the word stipple would indicate some kind of spotty pattern .... ah nah this is Crown Lynn where they make their own rules and we have to follow them!
Here is what I think must be Stipple

Re: Stipple
Haha yes, not what I was expecting from the name either! I have several of this design.
I always thought it was unmarked 'Dawn' I wonder what the difference is...

Re: Stipple
Well I've seen a fair bit of Dawn that has the gold Dawn backstamp, so I'm hoping it got stamped and Stipple didn't as I've never seen a Stipple backstamp ..... yet ...
