unmarked black swan
hi there i need to find out if my black swan is crown lynn or a replica of some sort thanks.

Gosh I can't be sure, as I've only seen one other black swan that was white on the inside and it created many questions on Trade Me. It certainly looks like it is Crown Lynn, though the beak is unusual ..... I have never seen a black swan with a white beak before. Are there any markings on the base at all? Numbers? What size is this one?

i think the beak was originally yellow and it probably has faded

It doesn't look like Crown Lynn to me, it looks like an item that would have been created in those ceramics classes all those years ago now.
I know Crown Lynn were never fantastic with finishing but that is too shabby for a Crown Lynn piece.
Other than the shape (which is a common mould) there is nothing which suggests it could be Crown Lynn and many things which suggest it's not Crown Lynn, so my verdict is not Crown Lynn.
