Re: Willy and Joop Kuiper Mug
Fantastic Kat, as we don't have Willy Kuiper's mark.
If it had a J before the WK it would be Joop and Willie's mark.

Re: Willy and Joop Kuiper Mug
Found a mug by Willy and Andrew today and Andrew's mark is so small compared to others that I have of his. The mug isn't anything wonderful and has a dry uninviting glaze. It's rather small for a mug too. I would like to know more about this collaboration though and that's why I got the mug.

Joop and Willy and Andrew
Mug by Joop and Willy, and Andrew.
Joop and Willy Kuiper's mark is partly glazed over. And could that also be AvdP's mark buried in the glaze beneath the handle? Some other marks on the base: ???

73mm H
This one came from Kat & Co., second half of last year I think, but the mark is not in the gallery so Kat may not have got around to it.
A very nice mug.
Ev, I think your mustard pot is the JWK mark too.
I will try and take some better pics in the bright of day.

Re: Willy and Joop Kuiper Mug
Just wondering if you have the 'Marks of New Zealand Potters' book Jeremy?
It has around 1500 marks, though there are quite a few mistakes, so I think of it as a guide and not a bible.

No I don't have the book Ev. I've just been checking online where I can but you do need some clues for that to work easily. I'll have a look for the book. I did check JWK.
I still have many marks to check out but I certainly don't expect them all to be recorded.

Re: Willy and Joop Kuiper Mug
I've concluded that the mark at the end of the handle is not that of Andrew van der Putten, as it is too small for his mark, so must be for decoration only.

A message from Eric Kupier:
I would like to ask that all references to JWK pottery is that of Joop and Willy Kuiper and not Willie . My mothers name was Willy . Thank you
Thank you so much for this information Eric
So this is another error in the Marks of NZ Potters book, so please correct it for future reference
