Re: A Chorus of Swans: The Crown Lynn Menagerie
Hi thanks for this. I am Val Monk. Some of the items in the exhibition are from my collection but there is are whole lot of items from other collectors.
There was an error in the newspaper article.
None of the items at the exhibition are for sale.
Tomorrow I will add more info.

Re: A Chorus of Swans: The Crown Lynn Menagerie
Sorry Ev I have been remiss in posting info about this exhibition, and now you have dug it all out!
The exhibition is curated by Scott Pothan of the Whangarei Art Museum. As you can tell by the title, he has settled on a swan theme, so expect to see lots of swans in various sizes and decorations. There are also other animals, plus trickle glaze vases and whiteware. There will be plenty of treasures to enjoy! Some is from my collection, some from Heather's plus a few extras. There is no tableware. And none of it is for sale. This exhibition closes on April 20.
Alongside the Crown Lynn there is a collection of Len Lye's early paintings, plus works by Graham Percy.
The art museum is open every day, 10 am to 4 pm. It is at the bottom end of Dent St, in the Town Basin area, which is well signposted.
There is no entry charge.
