Possible Crown Lynn 627 ????
So there were two of these in the auction.....
No numbers on either of them.
The lady one has a Royal Oak sticker and is 5mm smaller than the flower one and feels very lightweight.
The flower one feels the right weight for size to be Crown Lynn and the clay colour looks right too.
To me they look the same as the Museum drawing that we have in the gallery..... what do you think?

A shot using the same angle as the pic in the gallery.....

The flower one looks to have a less defined inner ridge to lip on the top edge? Might be a trick of the light though. The sheet the 627 drawing was cropped from records it as three and a half inches tall.
Can the height and weight differences be explained by different slip composition?

Re: Possible Crown Lynn 627 ????
You are correct Tony - the lady one has an inside lip ridge - it is 3 and three quarter inches high.
Also the bottom base part is just over a quarter of an inch.
The flower one is one dit off 4 inches high and it's bottom base is 4/twelveths.... whatever that is??
Neither seem to fit the Museum records re height ???????
I'm just going to weigh them ..... hang on....
Lady one weighs 90 grams
Flower one weighs 140gms.

Re: Possible Crown Lynn 627 ????
Still working on this one ......
and yesterday I got another Royal Oak piece and it is very light weight for it's size too.
It seems that the pieces that Royal Oak got were not fired to maturity so they will be light and porous.
I must fill them with water and see if they leak !!!!
There is a chance that the 'paint' they used would make them waterproof

dollcrown has sent in a pic of this vase and it is numbered 627 ....
Thank you dollcrown
It looks a wee bit different, but almost the same as mine, unfortunately mine got broken when we moved.
I should put your pic into the Shapes Gallery as it has the number on the base.
