re gaylite lamp
Gaylite was a company in Auckland which bought lamp bases in from overseas, as well as purchasing from Crown Lynn and Titian Studios, constructed the lamps and distributed them round new Zealand. Your Italian made base is really nice.

How about approaching an Auction House.
There are several in Auckland, not that I know if you live in that area.
For example Webbs, Art & Object and Cordy's to name a few.
They have specialised auctions and like to have unusual items.
