Wheatsheaf Pat.No.694
This is one of my first dinner plates that I bought, its quite pretty and had a pale blue rim. Alas a "no namer" .. I can't see it in the gallery.

Re: Wheatsheaf Pat.No.694
Haha I tried hard to keep them below 100 for several years - but it's impossible now!!
Kelston Potteries No Namer wheat etc with soft blue band
These patterns that have an outer band of colour seem to be rather old, so I will check out the old adverts from the Museum to see if this one is included.
Just the old lustred Kelston Potteries backstamp....

Re: Wheatsheaf Pat.No.694
Help!!! Is it the 694 pattern on the lower left?
Or Wheatsheaf on the left?
Hmmm it is offset like Wheatsheaf, but I can't see the outer band of colour!

Re: Wheatsheaf Pat.No.694
took me ages to find it, I had saved as 'Blue barley' ( why do I make up stupid pattern names?)
I think it is 694 pattern, what is that pattern called? wheatsheaf ? or something else?

Re: Wheatsheaf Pat.No.694
Hi Ev
what I noticed was this newspaper advert was repeated through the museum notes. On some adverts it had the pattern name and others the pattern number, I had them in a folder to sort through and marry them up to get the name & Numbers of each one ( before PC crashed and lost the lot!)
BTW , we have this in the gallery twice! I can fix up later, Janice

Re: Wheatsheaf Pat.No.694
This morning I can see a match with the leaves on the faint right hand Wheatsheaf pic..... but no indication if it has a band or not. I will go through the pics again to try and find a better shot and to catch the details, though I thought I had already done this.

I vote for the 694 with four ears of wheat left hand illustration. Took a while 'cos the printed version from the catalogue has the transfer well over to the left rather than near centre as the sample photo.

Re: Wheatsheaf Pat.No.694
There is no name for the 694 that I can find.
It seems to be along the same lines as Wheatsheaf, but bigger and bolder.
Wheatsheaf is by far daintier just like our samples.
But I can't be brave enough to give it that name
We need to find one that has the pattern name on the back !
I've merged our two topics Janice and removed my pic from the Gallery.

Re: Wheatsheaf Pat.No.694
So happy to find 4 of these plates in never been used condition too !!!
The backstamp reads Wheatsheaf Pat.No.694 so we were right all along
I am taking one to use as my new dinner plate as I miss Olympia so much.
I would prefer the luncheon plate size alas these are dinner plates, but I'm prepared to give it a go ....

Re: Wheatsheaf Pat.No.694
That's such a nice find.
I found an old plate today but it was so badly worn, it's good to find the older ones in good condition.
