Janice, I have mentioned this briefly before but I think you are the person to address on the matter.

I have, or had as I cannot locate them, a six set of Sunglow trios in what appeared to be Shape 25, but they are/were finer, lighter in weight and body, than the usual Shape 25.

Have you ever heard of, or seen, such a thing as a lightweight Shape 25?

I discovered this difference when I sought out some replacement pieces (cos I don't like crazing) and found they were different.

I may have given them away, but will have another search through the bach in the coming week.

This set on tm reminded me again:

UMM.. Maybe? when I washed the cups the other week, I did notice some weighed different to others. Now you have reminded me, I was going to check that out!

Jan,
There is no doubt in my mind that the difference was not slight but quite obvious with the two side by side.

Look forward to hearing what you find.

Great!

Now we need some photos to show the differences, back stamps included, maybe weights, and someone has to work out a number.

Question. Mine had crazing so assume not vitrified.
Could they be stoneware or are they just earthenware?
