Hey what a tricky one. It's not a mark I have seen before especially regarding the large rectangular border, but then the C shape with the line through it looks convincing enough. Its a small bowl right? I can't say for sure on this one, nothing in my collection like it but if it's an early piece then there are bound to be variants no one has recorded before. Just like the new Castle mark I found and photographed on Thursday.....

yes it is not large its like a thick pin dish probably 120mm diameter. lovely glaze

Any other stylistic features to the bowl like inscribed lines around the top rim or something like that? Looks like iron sand in the clay body. Bit of a mystery really.

The mark looks to have been double struck. The potter didn't get a clean impression the first time, so re-did it in a slightly different place.
