3 Fab new Crown Lynn pieces - Spincraft, NZ Rowing & Lamp

First up is a mug in the same shape as the Empire Games mug, but this is for Spincraft. Not special to many, but my first ever job interview was at Spincraft in Newtown, in Wgtn. (TM buy I collected today)

The back stamp, dated 1948-55. Interestingly, the company was incorporated in 1946.

My great find today, is this Rowing tankard. I am sure this is the same shape as the Tom Clarke tankard.

The transfer is in the centre, which is a shame really as it looks like there is no handle. The strip on the bottom is a sticker type thing, slightly rubbery and very thin, possibly added by NZ Rowing.

The backstamp

Lastly, a 538, (I know it's numbered, but not worth another topic) Has minor damage but great for display, and then this afternoon I found a shade for it!

All in all a great day

There is some info on Spincraft on the Te Papa site I seem to remember. Yet another domestic industry now gone. I got one of those mugs off Tme a couple of years ago. Love it.
