Its on my watch-list.. tempted but "its not a cup" or "jug" I am really trying to keep to those items.

Wallah !!!! I checked and this pattern was advertised in 1962, so I'm thrilled to get this piece.

The backstamp is in green and I'm hoping this will give us a time frame of sorts.

Awesum!.. I notice in the Advert above, Checkers is cheapest while Mardi Gras is the dearest(probably cause its hand painted) ..is Checkers a NZ designed transfer?

I can't be sure about that Kat, but I wouldn't think so at this early stage. I know they did make their own transfers, but I have a strong feeling it was later than 1962. It would be great to find out when they started making decals at Crown Lynn.
I came across some info re the pricing of tableware and Mardi Gras and Fleurette were dearer because of the hand painting involved.
