Large Brown Ovoid Vase
This is a bit unusual. I thought it may have been a hobby piece but I'm hoping it is not. It is large - 230 mm high and 200 mm across the centre. Mold lines evident but more like a bottle construction. The base and bottom half seem to be one section with a horizontal mold line around the middle and the top half has been made in two sections with vertical mold lines rising from the centre but not evident in the same top ring. The inside is glazed in a creamy white as is the centre of the base. The foot ring is not glazed but is white and rough. Any ideas appreciated.
In the photo it looks like the vertical mold line continues down to the base. This is an ovoid shape and that is a bit of an optical illusion. The vertical line stops at just under the midpoint so the body of the vase is made in three sections.
