A progress update regarding the Crown Lynn 01 - 881 Gallery
Five and a half years ago, after 6 months of making this site and loading photos into the Crown Lynn Gallery, Tony, Heather and I had a total of 255 Crown Lynn Shapes photos and this included a few sketches. We then added another 250 shapes from the records at the Museum with their permission, on the basis that we would replace with real photos eventually and this helped enormously to locate the missing shapes.
We now have around 509 photos and 59 Museum pics, plus many descriptions and some sketches. So the progress has been phenomenal really, thanks to our dedicated members who are constantly on the look out for these shapes. There are still about 152 shapes that have not been identified yet and are unknown, but NEW SHAPES turn up on the site on a regular basis and are added with much excitement I must add. You can see who the main contributors are from this thread, where each shape is recorded plus the contributor when it is added to the Gallery so that Tony can update his What's Missing list -

So this is just to let you know that we are definitely making ground and our Gallery has to be the best catalogue of Crown Lynn Shapes available. Bravo Well Done to us all
There is an amazing amount of interest from people who are not members of the site and don't contribute in any way, but visit the Galleries in vast numbers and I'm contemplating making the Galleries only available to members for a while in the hopes that we will get more contributors.
