I have seen a maori design T N Lovatt Temuka lamp base just browsing through Art and Object past listings I see that it sold for $4500 including buyers premium that seems like a crazy price even though it is noted as the only known one. Cheers Billy

Wooo that is fantastic really !!
T N Lovatt was very talented and his work is very sought after by collectors. Auctions can get silly sometimes as all it needs are two people after the same item.
I hadn't heard that he made a lampbase. Any chance of a link to that auction?
