Anneke Borren - Open studio 2014
This weekend is Anneke's annual open studio!
Open until about 6pm Sunday 23rd November
Hundreds of stunning & reasonably priced pieces of domesticware, including in a glowing yellow this year
Anneke is one of New Zealand's most senior and respected potters. She has been out of action unable to pot for a few years, so this is a rare opportunity to get your hands on pieces directly from the source

Re: Anneke Borren - Open studio 2014
Thanks so much for posting that link, even though I can't afford the petrol to get down to the open day, I just spent a pleasant half hour looking through her website. I'm fairly certain I have an Anneke Borren vase, though the mark is very faint, looking through her designs, I feel that it fits with her work and I have got to know her style much better

Hi Cat-a-lat - If you post a pic of your vase i'm happy to help verify whether it's one of Anneke's.
Her mark is a back to back 'B' with a crown on top

Re: Anneke Borren - Open studio 2014
Thanks Vanessa, it took me a day or so to find and charge camera batteries, and I just caught the last of the light to take these photos, so lighting not quite the best:
and the mark, I will try and get a better pic, but it's very faint even in good light:

Re: Anneke Borren - Open studio 2014
Cat-a-lat here is what Anneke said about your vase;
"The pot is my blue glaze, and I m a little puzzled by a showing of red clay at
the bottom, for I thought that I only used white stoneware, but it's so long
ago, and it certainly looks like a me shape, and I was experimenting with clays
then too.
So it's early , early seventies."
