I was thinking ARG too, I've seen a lot of an "ARG" mark about, I have seen who it belongs to somewhere, not sure whether that was here or not though...

The potter of this was a Hamilton one I think. You can't move in OP shops here without tipping over ARG's pots. I wish I could remember his name. I have heard however that he has now left the country for good. He is/was a decent potter.

A R G was the mark of Adel graham, a potter from morrinsville. her signature was usually more hand written than this later on but early work was as above.

We have waited a long time to find out the potter's name and she certainly was a prolific maker in all domestic ware.

Wonderful! I'm sure I grew up with a set of ARG spice Jr's in the family home in Blenheim in the 70s
