A Candle Holder thats intriguing.. when I turned it over the base made me think OC Stepehens mug as the cream glaze is similar, weight & the flat base glaze too...

Computer says no HYMTC But HVMTC is for Hutt Valley Memorial Technical College which was known by that name 1937-98 (also know as Petone Tech) & offered night classes, to which Helen Mason joined to learn pottery.
Ryman Health bought the site in 2012 & Arson in 2014 destroyed the main building..

Ever so interesting Kat !! Thanks for finding it. At one time I found a heap of info on O C Stephens on the net, but maybe I'm just in a hurry as I can't find it now!
