Caribbean Ware Colours and info
I can't find a lot of info regarding Caribbean Ware other than they used the 781 'Tulip' cups and that there were four colours:
Olive Green, Pink, Teal and Yellow

Caribbean Ware Blue-Green and I'm not sure if this is the same as Kat's Teal as it appears to be a lot darker? Cameras are very fickle when it comes to blues and greens!

Re: Caribbean Ware Colours and info
Is there a sort of grey colour listed in the Caribbean Ware range? Or do you know where more information could be found on the colour range?

Re: Caribbean Ware Colours and info
Hi, there isn't a lot of information around, so we are trying to come up with our own. Showing which colours has the Caribbean stamp is a good start. Do you have a stamped grey that we could add to the mix?

Hi Ev,
Thanks for the reply, it is all very interesting. I am so enjoying reading the old posts on this forum. When it arrives i will add a photo here as it is hard to tell from the photo i have seen the exact colour. It seems similar to a light grey but not quite. Will work out how to add a photo in a day or two The green cup is a lovely shape i'm sure someone will enjoy it!

Re: Caribbean Ware Colours and info
Now that you can see it in the light of day, what colour would you call this Carmensanddeigo? It looks like Mushroon from here, but digital cameras can play tricks on our eyes.
Re: Caribbean Ware Colours and info
I think that would be right Ev it looks a sort of light mushroom colour and a bit like quite a warm shade of grey in some light.

Re: Caribbean Ware Colours and info
I would like to compare the colour to the grey and dark grey that we have in the other colour glaze topics, as there is no record as to which grey this Caribbean one is.
Golly I still see Mushroom! I will look for more Caribbean info when I get a chance!

Re: Caribbean Ware Colours and info
I found a rimmed Caribbean side plate today and I haven't found any info about this shape in the Caribbean range. Lemon is the colour and I will post it when I get a moment.
Re: Caribbean Ware Colours and info
Well this wide rimmed lemon side plate looks like an old shape to me. The base is stamped Caribbean Ware British, so now I want to know if this is another blinking pattern with it's different shape and the word British. Gahhhhhh sometimes I think all of these puzzles will do my head in !! Anyway take a look, but I don't know where to put the darn thing!
The base which is quite different:

Caribbean Ware 754 in lime green
Ido, aka Moksha, sent me this lime green Caribbean Ware 754 as there was room left over in a box of goodies I just bought from him.
The cup on the left is an early (48-55) 754: see how they grew!

Re: Caribbean Ware Colours and info
Tom Clark Jnr commented on Facebook that the Pink colour was darker when the glaze was put on thicker, or lighter when put on thinner, so I've just gone with one pink in the Montage now.
