I bought 5 of these side plates today, mainly because I really liked the yellow ones. Five in total, two yellow, (different shades and backstamps) two pink and one green. Second and third photo is the paler yellow plate and backstamp.

So beautiful and the pink matches my cup and saucer.
Do they all have a gold ring like that on my cup and saucer?

Hi Ev, the plates all have a gold edge. The pink ones have a different CL mark to your one, so not sure if they would be the same shade or not. willing to see though. I think they would look nice as a trio! Smile This is the mark on pink plates.

I have not seen the "BY Crown Lynn" back-stamp before - is that a new one?

Come to think of it, I do not think I have seen the "By" bit before either. Thanks for pointing that out to me. Smile

oh cool! I like the blue one too! I think they may have been sold like that, I wonder if there is any written description to confirm that anywhere in the records.

I keep coming back to the Rose Dawn shapes that have indents as the cup above has.
813 Fancy Jug Rose Dawn, 814 Fancy Jug Rose Dawn, 818 Cup Rose Dawn and 820 Teapot body Rose Dawn.  I found the same shapes with a similar name from English pottery.  I can only say that these were made before 1964 with their shape numbers.
We just need to find the jugs or the teapot to confirm my thoughts and that will be the sort of thing that I will be looking out for at the Crown Lynn Roadshow on Sunday.
