Borrowed Earth mugs
Two Borrowed Earth mugs.
I really love the frangipani mug but unfortunately it was the loser in the battle between a suitcase full of mugs (and a few clothing items) and Air New Zealand baggage handling. I brought fifteen mugs up from Otago, spread between checked and carry-on. (The crack is not seen in this photo.)
Today when I saw the other at the Sallies I knew immediately what it was. My consolation prize.
top mug: 87mm H x 80 OD top, frangipani mug differs
broad footrings, glazed between, with the same mark as in gallery
The handle attachment makes these look like they should be slipcast but there are no indentations on the inside so I assume handpotted. The interior glaze makes it hard to see but I do feel finger marks on both mugs, and sizes differ.

I have added a third image.
4 astrological signs. A second mug at the Hospice shop had different signs.
