Bunny by Crown Lynn
I picked up a bunny dish in an op shop months ago and soon after, found an egg cup with the bunny pattern too. The egg cup is stamped "NEW ZEALAND" - which I saw on a seperate thread, is a stamp that hasn't yet been dated to a time or pattern.
I'm struggling to find anything that helps increase my knowledge, any ideas?
Is it an odd piece or is it even an egg cup? I'm in love with it either way because it's sweet and pretty
Thanks in advance
Charlotte

Re: Bunny by Crown Lynn
Hi Charandco and welcome the site
The pattern is called Bunny Pat.No.778
https://www.newzealandpottery.net/gallery/Crown-Lynn-Tableware-Patterns/A-B/bunny-patno778-pic_2786.htm
In Val Monk's Crown Lynn book she says this pattern was made in the 1950's and 1960's.
As the pattern is on several different shaped ware, I think it could have been made into the 1970's and even as late as the 1980's.
If you put Bunny into the Search Box up near the top of your screen you will find posts about different pieces of Bunny.
The Made In New Zealand stamp was used profusely on ware made during the late 1960's, 1970's and 1980's.

The 3035 mug that Kat posted is a shape first made in 1974:

Is that the latest shape with Bunny or are there others?
The impressed "New Zealand" mark as seen on the egg cup was used from the early 1960s but I don't know when it was last used. On the tulip cups (at least) that mark was later replaced with the raised "Made in New Zealand" mark. I have not identified a first use of the latter mark.
Love the bunnies!

The 3018 Shape 25 eggcup was first made 11.10.67. I think they too had the Made in New Zealand mark later on too.
