its not 43 as that shape has fern pattern.

I've noticed the plain and the fern shape 43's but have never looked into it. The shape looks to be the same to my eyes. Perhaps moulds were made to include the fern pattern at some stage? Sometimes the fern pattern stands out and at other times it is hardly discernible.
We need to know measurements - height, girth, top and bottom of each to compare them.

The museum has one with the number 43 on the base, it is H 9.5 W 11.5. Page 12 of my collectors guide.
