Re: Beautiful Swan song… # 170
I have two baby swans but they are slightly different sizes. One is stamped and has .154 and is the standard 15cm in length but the other I have is smaller and shorter (14cm) and the feathers are less defined and has no stamp but just 154 (no dot). Both are creamy white.
Is one older than the other or is it a case of different moulds? I'd be very interested in any comments. Thanks.

Hi there, Captainhobson
Moulds don't take long to wear out and lose their definition and size. They had to be replaced after something like 50 or 60 uses.
The cream coloured artware that Crown Lynn made is older than the white artware, which came about once the white clay from Matauri Bay was used in the clay. So they will both be old and precious.
