Mussel Inn Takaka large mug: Tim Jessep mark for GALLERY

A very large mug for Mussel Inn.


I don't know!
The mark looks like JF to me, but not the Jan Fleming one.
It looks more like Lizz Johnston's but I have only one piece of her work to compare it with.

I don't know the potter sorry Jeremy, is it like this one? I have been trying to work the mark out for a while now. JF DF TF could be anything.

That looks closer than anything I have seen Anne.

I'm thinking someone at Mussel Inn must know who the potter is.

A few minutes later ...

I just checked the merch page of their site and that tells me the mugs are made by "local potter Tim Jessep".

Your mark is much clearer than mine so I think it can go in the gallery as Tim Jessep.

Do you have some more of his work to show us?

I have seen this mark around many times, but until our last visit to Takaka, had never worked out who the potter was.

I have to add these seprately as servimg wont't let me do more than 3 at a time.


So, Tim's mark is a capital T with a J coming off the main and a flourish of the end of it. I also got his card too.
