Any thoughts? NZ?
Shell is 24 cm long and is a wall pocket. Remnants of a sticker on the front.
Vase is 12.5 cm tall and has that spray painted and stenciled look. Remnant of sticker also on the base.

Re: Any thoughts? NZ?
Mike the floral vase (second down) looks like an interesting find. In his later years Owen Salisbury pottered about in his own workshop making various items which he sold to an Auckland gift shop. This vase looks very much like one of them. I have some TINY pics, given to me by a member of the family. I will be interested to hear if other members see sufficient similarity between Mike's vase and my pics. I am not certain.

I can see the similarities Val. This vase is handpotted I would say. Defined throwing rings on the inside and the base is sharply defined as well. I have seen that sticker shape on pottery before somewhere as well.

Re: Any thoughts? NZ?
If the vase is a Salisbury item,it would be early 1940s Those same flowers have been a common thread all through Owen's 45 years in pottery decorating. The recent vases 40 years later are stoneware with brush painted flowers not sprayed.
