Re: Large bottle/jug with distinctive handle finish
VERY NICE !!
Beautifully made and glazed.
Stoneware - high fired .... my favourite![I love you](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/herz.png)
No idea as to the maker sorry Cat, but it wouldn't look out of place in my collection![Wink](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_wink.gif)
Edits to add that the glaze reminds me of the glaze on a Tippett jug that I have, but potter's shared glaze recipes with friends, so that doesn't mean a lot. The rounded cork shows some age.

Re: Large bottle/jug with distinctive handle finish
Thanks Ev, Should I rescue the cork, it was fairly grotty and a bit whiffy and crumbly so I did bin it!

Re: Large bottle/jug with distinctive handle finish
No need to keep the cork if you have pics, but it shows a time frame when corks were 'manicured' whatever they would have called it. 1970's maybe even earlier. Pat Perrin was well known for personalising her corks in the 1960's.
Re: Large bottle/jug with distinctive handle finish
I am a bit slack about keeping corks. I chuck them in the dishwasher then forget which pot they belong to. But I feel that they are an integral part of the item and we should keep them if possible.
