It's not a horrible word to me ..... I think of it as an old fashioned word.
I thought crockery encompassed dishes, cups and plates .... tableware.
But as they have a nautilus vase on the poster I guess it includes all pottery.
I looked up dictionary.com and the word means ... earthenware.
I'm keen to see this show ..... don't think I've ever been to an Art Gallery to see pottery !

I contacted Lorraine Wilson of the Portage Ceramic Trust to see if we could get more details about this exhibition.
She kindly replied and said that the dates for the exhibition have not been finalised yet, as the Gallery is waiting upon some funding.
She also said that there will be quite a large selection from their collection on display.

I've altered the dates in the first post as the exhibition has been postponed until next year.

Just want to note that this topic is the most viewed on the NZ Pottery site.
Which shows that there is a lot of interest regarding a Crown Lynn Exhibition.
Just need to know the fine details.... like exactly WHEN it will be held.
