Hi, Thank you so much for this wonderful site which I refer to often, Smile I have a handpotted bottle with a potters mark of a stick figure of sorts with a triangle head, the bottle is really nice and I also have a large vase from the same maker so it would be great to know who made it, any help would be appreciated, Thanks Smile

Hi there,  That mark looks familiar to me, but no names are coming through.  I would describe it as a stylised star Smile  I will add it to the Mystery Marks in the hope that someone will enlighten us.

Is it possible it is another form of a Peter Alger Mark? A pinterest page linked to a trade me listed a two marked item as Peter Alger which is a similar stickman/star. Although I wouldnt call that a confident reference, it does look like a relative to an Alger mark in the Gallery.

Heehee and how odd, as that mark came from this site and both have been confirmed to be Barry Hockenhull's marks by his wife Barbara.

So yes be careful on the net as I have no idea why they think it was Peter Alger's mark.

Your mark is quite different when you compare them together.
