Re: How old is this Crown Lynn Vase shape 48
Gail Lambert/Henry gives a range of c 1950 - c 1955 for the tiki backstamps and Valerie Ringer Monk estimates 1945 to 1955.
The 1 to 881 numbering system was introduced about 1943 to 1946 and replaced with a four digit numbering system in 1964.
The Auckland Museum has a series of photos of shapes 1 to 54 which they date to the mid 1940s.
I hope this helps.

If you havent looked already, we have the numbers represented in our gallery at the top - so you will see the 48 vase there. There is also a section on backstamps. Welcome to the site!! If you have any pics to add to the gallery we would love to have them.

What colour is your 48 delboy?
The one in the gallery is white and belongs to my Mother-In-Law.
It was her Mother's before she got it.

Re: How old is this Crown Lynn Vase shape 48
Can't recall what the last one sold for on Trademe .......
I've only seen a few listed over the years ....
I'm guessing that it would be worth between $50 to $100 ??
Maybe someone else can add their thoughts?
