Marae possible motif on Mode Pattern Plate
We have all seen this pattern but we have never put it into the "no-Name Gallery"

Ev found a reference to Kirikiriroa Marae (Waikato) unsure if this is it? Janice... Off to the "No Name Gallery" until we stumble on it...

Re: Marae possible motif on Mode Pattern Plate
Hi there, I have a Kirikiriroa Marae plate that has a stamp in red, different to this. That is not to say this marae didn't ever use this pattern, but they did have a custom pattern of their own. I have also seen mentioned somewhere that these plates were used at Waitetoko Marae (Lake Taupo) but not certain of this. no name it is.
