PATA ? mark Empty PATA ? mark

Post  Nizzy Sat 27 Jan - 10:13

Hi guys
New to this site.  I'm trying to identify a potter's mark on some dishes I inherited from my mother.  The signature looks like PATA.
PATA ? mark Pata_d15
PATA ? mark Teardr12

I've a feeling she obtained them in the Coromandel in the 70s or 80s.

Thanks for your help.  Nizzy

Hi there, it doesn't look like we have this mark on the site, so we can't help you.  Hopefully someone will recognise the mark and let us know.
In the meantime I will add the mark to our Mystery Marks Gallery and credit you for the photo.  I will try to enlarge it first Smile

Edits to show enlarged photo of the mark and there is a possibility that that the mark says Rata ......

Thank you very much for your prompt reply - I'll do a bit more research with Rata as part of the potter's mark.

By the way, I have a book "British Studio Potters' Marks (c. 1999, 660 pages), if anyone wants a look up of a British mark.

Many thanks, Linda
