Monogramed ashtray interesting backstamp Empty Wareickshire on Crown Lynn

Post  Jeremy Ashford Tue 20 Mar - 11:49

There a few Warwickshire pieces on the forum already.

Usually they are decorated porcelain blanks, some definitely from Germany, others maybe China, maybe England.

Here, they have bought a Crown Lynn ashtray or ashtrays (dish or dishes etc) and put the transfers on.

The Crown backstamp is seen on a lot of wares that were sold through the seconds shops.

Thanks for your info Jeremy. You are a font of information. Have you ever thought about putting this info into one place? Imagine the book you would be able to produce.

Thanks for the thought but no. No pottery books in me.
My knowledge is scattered, with the gaps between occupying much more space!
