Re: Titian Jug
Gosh they sound like Crown Lynn numbers!
But don't correspond to the Shape Catalogue?
Are the numbers clear and easy to read mrnarna?

Re: Titian Jug
Tony directed me to Gail Henry's book regarding this.
I found that mould-maker Vic Lawson who had worked at Crown Lynn for 15 years and introduced the numbering system there had moved on to Titian in 1957. He even used the dots before and after the numbers at Titian ..... hence there is some confusion over who made what!

Re: Titian Jug
Very interesting. i allways thought that once the crown lynn (ish) numbering system was introduced that it reflected their major shareholding in titian around 67. One of these jugs was my very first piece so this is interesting indeed.
I have a fish vase which I have never seen before with the green incised slash marking but is also marked .N74. I read that the original sherwoods were marked this way but there was an overlap at the time of the new titian. Would it not be great to have a chat with some of these makers? so many questiones.
