Re: Temuka Treasures ...... looking for a new home?
This item has been playing on my mind today!
Temuka Potteries is an important part of New Zealand's pottery history.
They made some wonderful pottery and kept on going in the face of adversity.
How can they even think of removing this collection, just because it's not from the actual area?
Someone had some foresight at some stage to have such a famous collection in one place.
Please may the clay gods come to the rescue and give these pieces a real home!

Re: Temuka Treasures ...... looking for a new home?
This is a hot topic.... and so it should be!!
I'd never heard of a 'de-accessioning policy' before!!!
Well done Bruce McCulloch for having the foresight to gather this collection!
Temuka have donated many pieces ..... oh it could make me just cry!

Re: Temuka Treasures ...... looking for a new home?
I wonder if a certain Timaru identity might secure it and put it in "his museum" one day...
