Shape 28 large vase in the Rancich/Silva style
I spied this today and had to get it as we didn't have this shape in the Rancich/Silva Gallery.
It is a decent size and has been made on a wheel. The base has been formed using a template. It is decorated in the way that Salisbury used, though the image on the front has faded. Even a rim crack didn't deter me, or the $8 price sticker as this is old NZ Pottery.
There is a photo of Wally making a pot with a similar base to this on the site from Lance Silva. I am sticking my neck out now to say that I believe this was made by Wally Silva. Phew I said it at last
